MAINSTAR TRUST TERMS OF USE POLICY


Mainstar Trust ("Mainstar or "We") is committed to safeguarding your privacy on its Website located at https://www.Mainstartrust.com. This Mainstar Terms of Use Policy does not apply to products or services provided, or information obtained, other than through the Website. Please read the following policy to understand how your information will be treated. Mainstar may modify this policy from time to time by posting a revised policy at this Website address. When this policy is modified, if the modifications are significant, we will display the following next to the link to the policy at the Website: "RECENTLY REVISED", for a period of thirty (30) days following posting. If there is a material change in the collection, use, or disclosure practices to which you have previously agreed, we will attempt to send you a notice via e-mail if you have provided us with an e-mail address. Please keep in mind that some of the services mentioned specifically in this policy may not be available on the site at this time. What information does Mainstar collect?


Mainstar may collect the following categories of personally identifiable information through the Website: name, telephone number, address, e-mail address, date of birth and Mainstar Account number. Mainstar collects information in several ways. For example, some of this personal information is gathered when you register as a customer using our account interface. During registration, we ask for your Mainstar Account Number and your email address. Once you register, you are no longer anonymous to Mainstar and are able to take full advantage of our services. In addition to registration, we may ask you for information at other times, such as when you report a problem with our site or services, or contact us via the customer service e-mail address. If you contact Mainstar, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

What other information does Mainstar collect?


Information about customers is accumulated from a variety of sources. In addition to data that you provide, we develop data as a function of providing you with a product or service. Still other information is obtained from outside sources.


What are cookies and how does Mainstar use them?

Please be aware that other Websites to which we link may collect personally identifiable information about you when you visit those sites. The information practices of other Websites linked to our Websites are not covered by this Terms of Use Policy.


With whom does Mainstar share my information?


We will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or under the circumstances described below. The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed.


Categories of Third Parties with whom Mainstar May Share Personally Identifiable Information: Mainstar may provide your personally identifiable information to its affiliates, and its trusted business partners or persons for the sole purpose of processing that information on behalf of Mainstar. When this is done, we request that those parties process such information only in accordance with Mainstar's instructions, and to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security measures.


Data in the Aggregate: We may disclose “blinded” aggregated data and user statistics to prospective partners and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes. Blinded data is data which does not identify an individual person.


Other: We also may disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Mainstar's Terms, or may otherwise be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Mainstar's rights or property, other Mainstar Website users or customers, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of my information?


Your Mainstar Account Information and Mainstar Profile are password-protected so only you have access to this personal information. We use SSL encryption technology for Mainstar account information, passwords and registration information. Remember to sign out of your Mainstar account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account by using your computer when you are away from it. Because of the global nature of the Internet, when you give us information, that information may be sent electronically to servers outside of the country where you originally entered the information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Except as discussed above or otherwise designated, the website does not use security encryption measures.
